    Equipment Upgrade
Mar 1, 2008
I continue to upgrade Zeehaen as necessary.

Most recently I added an articulating rudder for
better response at slow speed and in following
seas.  I also installed a new high efficiency prop.

The new rudder required a beefed up rudder
frame and an additional ram.

To help when single handling the boat I installed
a commercial grade wireless remote system.
This controls bow and stern thrusters,
gear/throttle, anchor windless and deck crane.

    August Boat Trip
Sep 7, 2005
I spent a few days cruising around the San Juan and Gulf Islands.

On the way up I spent the night anchored in Port Ludlow. This is a shot looking north out of the bay.

Then the weather turned.

Then the fog came.

Finally the sun returned.
